New York — If your boyfriend recently went vegan, please be careful this Valentine's Day! That's the message in a quirky new public service announcement from PETA, which the group is releasing today in the hope of reaching vegans' lovers before they're incapacitated by their partners' powerful lovemaking. Narrated by Kevin Nealon, the ad explains that partners whose boyfriends have gone vegan may experience BWVAKTBOOM—Boyfriend Went Vegan and Knocked the Bottom out of Me—which Nealon describes as "a painful condition that occurs when boyfriends go vegan and can suddenly bring it like a tantric porn star."
The ad, now available on BWVAKTBOOM.com, depicts a woman in a neck brace wearily but happily returning to her bedroom with a bag of vegetables for her boyfriend. The website also includes video testimonials from men and women who are living with BWVAKTBOOM, tips on how to have sex safely with vegans—such as mounting all TVs and mirrors securely to the wall and installing a headboard hydration system—and information about how to match your vegan partner's stamina by going vegan yourself.
What makes vegans so formidable in the bedroom? It's not just the sizzling physique and high energy that comes with being less prone to heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and obesity than meat-eaters are. Vegans also escape meat and dairy consumption's link to impotence: The cholesterol and saturated animal fats in meat and other animal products restrict the flow of blood to all the body's vital organs—not just to the heart.
"BWVAKTBOOM is a very real risk—not only are vegans ready to bring it in the bedroom all night long, their compassion also makes them extra attractive to their partners," says PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lange. "PETA is standing by to help anyone who wants—or needs—to meet their vegan boyfriend's level of performance."
