Echo Park Gets a Vegan, Eco-Friendly Boost From Group's New Los Angeles Office

Los Angeles -- PETA and Bob Barker will welcome Angela Simmons, Carrie Ann Inaba, Jenna Dewan Tatum, Owain Yeoman, and Grammy, Golden Globe, and Emmy Award–winning songwriter Diane Warren, among other guests, to the renovated, 4,000-square-foot rooftop deck of PETA's new Los Angeles office for a cocktail reception featuring vegan hors d'œuvres from Echo Park's own Mohawk Bend, Elf Café, and Sage Organic Vegan Bistro. The red carpet event will celebrate the grand opening of PETA's new Bob Barker Building, named in honor of the longtime animal advocate who donated $2.5 million for the renovation of the historic structure.

Featuring a renovated art deco façade, a rebuilt public sidewalk, eco-friendly cork floors, and preparations for rooftop solar panels, the all-vegan (and dog-friendly!) Bob Barker Building is home to PETA's media, marketing, youth outreach, and campaigns departments.
