Los Angeles -- SpiritHoods' distinctive animal-themed hoods are unmistakable, and the company has just added a new creation to its collection: a faux-fur white rabbit hood with PETA-blue lining and emblazoned with the group's iconic logo on a paw. The company will donate a portion of the proceeds from this hood to PETA for its headline-grabbing anti-fur campaign. To celebrate the partnership, through April 23, PETA is giving away three of the hoods in an online contest on its Facebook page. Some of PETA's celebrity pals who've been photographed wearing SpiritHoods include Olivia Munn, Ke$ha, Justin Bieber, and Audrina Patridge.

"PETA loves all of SpiritHoods' unique animal designs because—unlike fur—not one of them was stolen from its original owner," says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. "Thanks to SpiritHoods' generosity, each sale will help PETA save animals from the clutches of the cruel fur industry."

SpiritHoods has made educating people about the plight of animals one of the company's major goals. They believe in empowering people to take a stand against animal suffering. "As a brand, we feel it's our duty to raise awareness about the cruel nature of the fur industry and offer a positive, high-quality alternative to consumers. Our partnership with PETA is one of the many ways we hope to give back and bring positive attention to the animals that inspire our brand" says Co-Founder Alexander Mendeluk.

Animals trapped for their fur suffer from excruciating pain before they are bludgeoned or stomped to death by trappers. Animals raised on fur farms go insane from being confined to tiny, filthy cages in all weather extremes before they are electrocuted, poisoned, or gassed or have their necks broken. An undercover investigation in China—the world's largest fur exporter—revealed that animals, including cats and dogs, are often skinned alive.
