Warwick, R.I. — With the demand for meat-, dairy-, and egg-free cuisine at an all-time high, a proliferation of vegan-friendly food trucks cruising city streets has made healthy and humane food choices more convenient than ever. With that in mind, PETA has just completed its first-ever ranking of the top five vegan-friendly food trucks in the U.S., and Warwick's Like No Udder has grabbed fifth place.

"We give Like No Udder—and all our winners—five big honks for helping to make delicious and animal-friendly vegan food more convenient than ever," says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. "Every vegan-friendly food truck that hits the streets helps more and more people get on the road to a more humane, healthy life."

Like No Udder has a bevy of treats to satisfy your sweet tooth while still being sweet to animals. Favorites include the chocolate–peanut butter shake, the root beer float, and vegan soft-serve ice cream in vanilla or chocolate with your choice of toppings. Like No Udder serves up a variety of floats, shakes, and slushies, and it even carries hot-food items such as veggie dogs and vegan meatball subs during festivals and other select events.

Taking the top spot is The Cinnamon Snail in Hoboken, N.J., thanks to its Blue Corn Pancakes (with piñon butter and real maple syrup) and Korean Barbeque Seitan (served open-faced on a grilled tortilla slathered with chili butter, kimchi, and greens). Taking second place is Chicago's Ste Martaen & Soul Vegetarian Vegan Food Truck. Favorites include the Chicago Cheesesteak (filled with seitan and grilled poblano peppers and topped with vegan cheese sauce), the Basil Focaccia Sandwich (marinated and baked tofu, sliced Ste Martaen cheese, and grilled red peppers and onions on fresh-baked basil focaccia bread), the carrot cake, and the chocolate mousse. Rounding out the select mobile quintet are Sunny Vibrations in San Francisco, which offers a grilled veggie kebab and pizza burger, and Seabirds in Orange County, Calif., which features a beer-battered avocado taco and barbecue veggie burger.
