Auburn Hills, Mich. -- First came Major League Baseball in 2002, followed by the NFL in 2008. Now, for the first time, thanks to the explosion in vegetarian options at sports venues across the continent, PETA has ranked the top 10 most vegetarian-friendly NBA arenas, and The Palace of Auburn Hills, home of the Detroit Pistons, has grabbed 10th place.

"Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond clearly have bright futures ahead of them, and Pistons fans can, too, thanks to healthy and delicious meat-free meals at The Palace," says PETA Associate Director of Campaigns Lindsay Rajt. "When the Pistons faithful hit the concession stands, coming away with vegetarian fare that would give a lot of restaurants a run for their money is a slam-dunk."

Topping PETA's favorites in the general seating areas were the vegan sloppy Joes with soy-based tempeh, peppers, onions, and barbecue sauce, followed by the perfectly blended hummus and a quinoa and lentil salad. And don't forget dessert: The smoothies made with soy milk, berries, and bananas are almost too good to be true. Fans in the premium areas can also feast on a grilled-vegetable sandwich, meat-free stuffed grape leaves, vegan bruschetta, and chipotle black-bean burgers.

Taking first place was STAPLES Center, home to both the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers, thanks to vegan sloppy Joes, the hearty veggie burger, the grilled-vegetable sandwiches, and the savory edamame. Second place went to the Toronto Raptors' Air Canada Centre for its vegetarian burritos, grilled-vegetable and arugula panini, vegan fajitas, and Bollywood veggie dogs with potato, tamarind ketchup, papadum, and mint chutney.

Rounding out the top 10 are the Wells Fargo Center (Philadelphia 76ers), the BMO Harris Bradley Center (Milwaukee Bucks), Oracle Arena (Golden State Warriors), the Rose Garden (Portland Trail Blazers), the United Center (Chicago Bulls), the AT&T Center (San Antonio Spurs), and Bankers Life Fieldhouse (Indiana Pacers).
