Norfolk, Va. — Top athletes, including slugger Prince Fielder, MMA fighter Jake Shields, NBA legend John Salley, NFL running back Ricky Williams, and Olympic great Carl Lewis, look to meatless meals to boost their health and help stop cruelty to animals. And a trip to ballpark concession stands confirms that many fans are getting the message too. That's why—for the 10th straight year—PETA has ranked the Top 10 Vegetarian-Friendly Ballparks.

"The days when a meatless meal at the ballpark meant peanuts or popcorn are gone," says PETA Associate Director Chris Holbein. "Even when there's a lull in the game and the bats go silent, healthy, humane, and eco-friendly vegetarian options are a big hit with fans."

Making a big comeback from its reign as PETA's champ in 2005 and 2006, AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, has finally outscored the Philadelphia Phillies' Citizens Bank Park—winner of the last four titles—to reclaim the crown. Returning to AT&T Park's lineup this year are the veggie dog, veggie burger, veggie sushi, portobello mushroom sandwich, and meatless burrito. Adding even more veggie power to the ballpark's concessions roster are the rookie chow fun noodles with vegetables and grilled veggie sandwich. Falling to second place is Citizens Bank Park, which features such winners as the Southwestern black-bean burger, veggie "cheesesteak," meat-free chicken steak, and tangy hummus with pita crisps.

Rounding out the top five are Comerica Park (Detroit Tigers), Turner Field (Atlanta Braves), and Coors Field (Colorado Rockies). In the minor leagues, the Fort Myers Miracle's Hammond Stadium—with its veggie cheeseburger (with nondairy cheese), Pepper & Onion Philly, and super-loaded, meat-free Tony LaRussa Dog—bested the pack.

Each major- and minor-league team to make the Top 10 Vegetarian-Friendly Ballparks list will receive a framed certificate from PETA. For more information and to see the complete list of winners, please click here.
