Davenport, Iowa — It was a five in a million chance, but when 15-year-old Davenport resident Ashleigh Gray received a golden sticker from peta2—PETA's youth division—she became the lucky winner of a six-month supply of vegan Tofurky products in peta2's first-ever Million Sticker Mania campaign. One million of peta2's "I Am Not a Nugget" stickers featuring a cute baby cartoon chick were sent to teens across the country—but only five of the stickers were the special winning golden ones.

"Ashleigh is one of our lucky winners—and each time that someone chooses a vegan meal, animals are winners too," says peta2 Division Manager Marta Holmberg. "Our million stickers spread a fun message about how going vegan saves animals—and Tofurky products and other delicious meatless alternatives prove how kicking the meat habit is easier than ever."

Ashleigh is a member of peta2's Street Team, which promotes animal rights by motivating kids to challenge outdated and cruel attitudes about animals. Gray attends West High School. She is a vegetarian and has taken action to support animal rights by distributing leaflets at West High School, where she is a student.

The 1 million stickers were sent to kids who requested them from peta2.com and to 100 different college student groups. The stickers were also placed in dormitory mailboxes at the University of Florida, one of the biggest universities in the country, and were included in merchandise orders placed through PETACatalog.com as well as through retail partners Atticus, Dirty Shirty, MacBeth, So So Happy, and several record labels.

Turtle Island Foods' Tofurky line includes many delicious soy-based products, including faux-turkey deli slices, hearty vegan sausages, plump "franks and links," smoky meatless jerky, and flavorful "cheesy" pizzas.

Ashleigh is available for interviews. For more information, please visit peta2.com or click here.
