Fort Lauderdale, Flo. -- CSI star Jorja Fox—known to fans as forensic sleuth Sara Sidle—will arrive in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday to take on the "perp" in a colossal murder case: the meat industry. Fox is bringing her pro-vegetarian PETA campaign to Florida, where she'll unveil it in person at the gourmet vegan restaurant Sublime. In the ad, Fox appears above a police chalk outline of a cow surrounded by crime-scene tape next to the words "Investigate the Facts."
When: Sunday, November 6, with the red carpet at 3:30 p.m. sharp
Where: Sublime, 1431 N. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale
Fox says it was her own investigation into how animals become sandwich fillings that led her to go vegetarian years ago. "I was having a meatball sub one day in Brooklyn, and it just clicked," she explains. "I was in the middle of that sandwich, and I put it down, and I never had meat again."
Following the unveiling, Fox will host a private PETA dinner party at Sublime with Animal Rights Foundation of Florida founder Nanci Alexander.
