Colorado City, Ariz. — A kitten was dropped into a vertical pipe containing wet cement on May 31 and left to struggle as the concrete dried around him on May 31. Despite efforts by rescuers to cut the pipe out of the ground and carefully chisel it open around the frantically meowing kitten, he later died from his ordeal. Police have yet to make any arrests in connection with the kitten's death. That's why PETA is adding a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this crime.

Would you please consider sharing this information with your audience? It might be the only way to apprehend those responsible for this heinous act.

"Animal abusers are cowards," says PETA Manager Martin Mersereau. "They take their issues out on the most defenseless beings available to them. Area residents have good reason to be concerned. According to law-enforcement agencies and leading mental-health professionals, perpetrators of cruel acts against animals are often repeat offenders who pose a serious threat to all animals—including humans."

Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to contact PETA at 757-622-7382, extension 8037.
