The Race Is On—Winners of PETA National Contest Will Head to Maui

Everett, Wash. — The competition to be named PETA's Sexiest Vegetarian Next Door is heating up, and 24-year-old Everett resident C.C. Taska may just take home the grand prize. That's because Taska has beaten out hundreds of other entrants from across the U.S. to become one of 10 female contestants to advance to the final round in PETA's contest. Two winners (one female and one male) will be crowned PETA's Sexiest Vegetarians, and each will win a free trip to Maui.
"On average, vegetarians are slimmer and healthier than meat-eaters are—and they save more than 100 animals a year from factory farms, slaughterhouses, and fishing nets," says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. "One look at our radiant finalists proves that there's nothing sexier than compassion."
Taska went vegetarian approximately a year ago, and now she's making the transition to a completely vegan diet. An ardent fur-foe, Taska decided to go vegetarian after browsing YouTube and coming across a video about slaughterhouses. She credits her diet with giving her tons of energy, which comes in handy when caring for her two young children. Taska is an orthodontic assistant and model, and she enjoys dancing and singing. She loves to cook and eat out and always takes pictures of her food so that she can post them to her Facebook page and let everyone see just how enticing meat-free food can be.
